The Dawn Patrol can rightly claim to be one of the finest contemporary wedding and function bands in Scotland. So what makes a great live band anyway? Here's a checklist of what you should be looking for:
The ability to perform a wide range of songs from ceilidh, classic oldies to current charts.
Musical talent - the individual musicians should be of a very high standard but they should also gel well so that the band sounds polished and slick.
Experience - the ability to handle anything that may come up at any kind of event; from playing requests, to controlling volume, to being asked if Uncle Jim can come up and sing.
Professionalism - turning up on time, setting up without fuss and being flexible because each event is different.
Good equipment - you need to be able to hear and see the band at their best and they need to be able to do the songs justice.
A great reputation - lots of great reviews from previous clients.
